JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – The Junior League of Johnson City volunteered at Woodridge Hospital on April 24, hosting a Spring Fling event. Young patients on Woodridge’s Willow Unit had the opportunity to visit spring-themed stations for various activities, including face-painting, tic-tac-toe and an art station.

The children seemed to really enjoy the event, said Lindy White, CEO for Woodridge, and it’s also a beneficial part of their treatment.

“It is such a blessing to have an organization in our community that is proactively working toward helping our children at a very vulnerable stage in their lives,” White said. “The Junior League of Johnson City is now holding two annual events for our Willow Unit at Woodridge – the Halloween Trunk or Treat and the Spring Fling. Each event is focused on bringing a smile to the children’s faces, and also helping them build confidence in their interactions with others.”
