Fit4Life Geocaching Contest gets underway on Friday

Melinda Turnmire from Woodridge was a winner in last year's geocaching competition. The second annual Mountain States Fit4Life Geocaching Contest is here!

This event is part of our Fit4Life wellness program. Mountain States team members can participate by going to the coordinates (latitude and longitude) provided and getting a photo of themselves at the location to prove they visited it. Human Resources will announce two new sets of coordinates each Friday at 9 a.m., starting on July 14 on the Geocaching Contest page on the intranet. The first person to email all their photos – after the last coordinates have been released – will win first place.

The sites are some of the prettiest in the area and are located throughout the Southwest Virginia and Upper East Tennessee region, so the visits will be well worth it. And the top three places receive $1,000, $500 and $250, respectively. NOTE: You must be in each photo for it to be counted.

Email your pictures to Jamie Parsons, VP for human resources, at Jamie.Parsons@msha.com as you find the coordinates. There will be a total of 10 sites.

Remember, two coordinates will be released at 9 a.m. each Friday, starting this Friday! Check the Fit4Life Geocaching Contest page each Friday to see the new locations: http://pulse2013.msha-inc.com/info/hr/Pages/Geocaching.aspx
