Franklin Woods earns Becker’s 100 Great Community Hospitals honor for second straight year

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – For the second straight year, Franklin Woods Community Hospital has been selected as one of “100 Great Community Hospitals” by Becker’s Hospital Review – one of only three hospitals in the state to receive this recognition for both 2016 and 2017.

The hospitals included on the list are recognized for quality, patient satisfaction and overall excellence.

Franklin Woods CEO Lindy White said the honor is a testament to the dedication of the hospital’s team members and providers to their patients.

“We’re honored to receive this recognition because it shows all the hard work we’re doing is paying off,” White said. “We are committed to doing the very best we can for our patients. We’ve set some high standards for ourselves and we’re constantly striving to improve. We want our community to know we’re here for them when they need us and they can trust us to take care of them.”

Franklin Woods has also been designated as a Top 100 Hospital nationally by Truven Health Analytics for two years in a row.

Becker’s Hospital Review is a monthly publication offering up-to-date business and legal news and analysis relating to hospitals and health systems. The Becker’s editorial team selected hospitals for inclusion based on analysis of key awards, rankings and certifications from various nationally known organizations in addition to the hospital’s reputation for leadership and innovation. Becker’s defines a community hospital as a facility with no more than 550 beds.
