For RNs interested in becoming a certified emergency nurse: OD review course set for Sept. 19-20

Organizational Development is excited to announce the upcoming certified emergency nursing (CEN) review course on Sept. 19-20. The two-day course is an initial step for RNs (registered nurses) in emergency settings who want to learn more and advance professionally.

Registration is available for the CEN review course through TEDS. The course will be held at the Indian Path Medical Center's conference center in Kingsport and will include free study material with the course.

The review offers a comprehensive overview of emergency nursing content so nurses can figure out their strengths and weaknesses, and know where they need to focus their learning as they get ready for their exam.

The CEN certification is accredited by the Accreditation Board for Specialty Nursing Certification (ABSNC) and is considered “formal recognition of specialized knowledge, skills, and experience demonstrated by achievement of standards identified by a nursing specialty to promote optimal health outcomes.”

Organizational Development provides certification review courses for nurses throughout each calendar year in accordance with Tennessee Nursing Association (TNA) and American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) standards for development of learning experiences that awards contact hours, Continuing Nursing Education (CNE). Organizational Development strives to create well designed, planned, implemented, and evaluated learning activities that coincide with adult learning principles and professional education standards.
