JMH residents enjoy some fall/Halloween team-building fun

ABINGDON, Va. – Johnston Memorial Hospital Family Medicine and Internal Medicine residents and administration spent a little time getting lost recently, but had fun and did some team-building in the process.

The residents and members of the administration at JMH went to Stickley Farms’ Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch on Oct. 26 to participate in “Nightmare on Resident Street,” taking on the challenge of finding their way out of the corn maze.

In the spirit of the fall and Halloween season, residents were divided into interdepartmental teams with Halloween theme titles, including the Slaughter Melons, Sons of Witches, Undertakers, Howling Trolls, Kill Bill, Dark Masters, Mother Dragons and Death Lords. The Sons of Witches were the ultimate winners by escaping the corn maze first, but a good time was had by all.

One resident said, “It was fun to have some friendly competition with other residents.” An internal medicine resident added that, “It was refreshing to be away from the hospital and mingle with residents in Family Medicine.”
